Atrocities on poor in Nitish rule: RJD
Patna, Nov 24 (UNI) The RJD today announced that it will launch xmassive agitation against the Nitish Kumar government.
Leader of opposition in the state assembly Rabri Devi told media persons here that ''the party would never tolerate atrocities on the poor and oppressed section in the name of ''Susashan''.
''The NDA government has failed to keep its promises. The government was engaged in making ''elite'' oriented announcements which had nothing to do with the common people,'' she said.
''The Nitish government was trying to take the credit of the work done during the RJD regime,'' she added.
She pointed out that Mr Kumar had promised to make Bihar a crime free state however during the NDAs rule the crime had increased, she said.
RJD State President Abdul Bari Siddiqui said, ''The government on one hand had failed to control criminals but was resorting to lathicharge on those coming forward for their rights with just and lawful demands.'' Another RJD leader Ramchandra Purvey said, ''Unemployed were being misled in the name of providing employment.
