YSR's road Karimnagar roadshows begin Nov 29
Hyderabad, Nov 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will tour the Karimnagar Lok Sabha Constituency on November 29 and 30 to campaign for Congress Candidate T Jeevan Reddy for the by-election scheduled for December Four.
According to party sources, Dr Reddy would reach Choppadandi in the constituency and start his roadshows. He would visit Ramadugu, Gangadhara, Boyinipalli, Vemulavada, Kathalapur, Metpalli, Ibrahimpatnam, Mallapur, Rekunta, Dharmaram and Korutla on the first day.
He would again embark on roadshows on November 30 from Rayikal and visit Sarangapur, Dharmapuri, Gollapalli, Pegadavalli, Malyala and Jagtiala before leaving for Hyderabad on December one.
Film star hero Srihari, who recently joined the Congress, would also be campaigning for the Congress from November 26.
All the four important political parties -- Congress, TRS, TDP and BJP -- were leaving no stone unturned to win the prestigious by-election caused by TRS Supremo K Chandrasekhara Rao's resignation protesting against the UPA Government not announcing the formation of separate Telangana state.
He had said the by-election would be a referendum on the formation of Telangana state.
While Congress fielded its MLA T Jeevan Reddy, BJP's candidate was Former Union Minister of State for Home Ch Vidya Sagar Rao. Former MP L Ramana was the TDP's candidate.
By-election will also be held on December Four to the Bobbili Lok Sabha Constituency in Vizianagaram District in Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The by-poll was caused by the death of TDP MP K Paidithalli Naidu. While the TDP had fielded Mr Naidu's son Appala Naidu, the Congress candidate was Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad Chairperson and State Marketing Minister Botsa Satyanarayana's wife Botsa Jhansi.
However all the parties are concentrating on the Karimnagar election as a win there would strengthen their view points. While the TDP is opposed to the division of the state, the BJP which expressed support for the formation Telangana refused to support Mr Chandrasekhara Rao and fielded its own candidate against him.
