Vaccination against meningitis for Haj pilgrims

Surat, Nov 23 (UNI) Vaccination against meningits will be provided to the Haj pilgrims at New Civil Hospital (NCH) here from November 24 to November 30, hospital authorities said here today.

According to NCH authorities, Saudi Arabia has given mandatory instruction to the Haj pilgrims to take anti-meningitis vaccination, to visit Mecca and Medina. The state health department has also made necessary arrangements for meningitis vaccination.

It is estimated that around 700 Haj pilgrims from Surat are registered with Haj Committee to visit Mecca and Madina this year.

All of them can avail the meningitis vaccination from New Civil Hospital, hospital authorities said.
