Univercell Telecom to open 100 show rooms in TN

Chennai, Nov 23 (UNI) The city based Univercell Telecommunications will open 100 more retail mobile phone showrooms in the next 12 months in different parts of Tamil Nadu, but most of them in Chennai city, as part of their proposed 300 show rooms all over the country.

Addressing mediapersons here today, after launching the ninth show room in the city, Company's Managing Director D Sathish Babu said two more show rooms would be coming up before December middle. They were in this field for the last ten years and at present they had a work force of 750. This would be increased to 2,000 before next year, he added.

He said they had a high number of corproate customers like TVS group of companies, and almost all the foreign consulates in the city as their clients.

During last year they achieved a turn over of Rs 72 crore and this year their target was Rs 150 crore. Of this they had already crossed half way, he added.
