Teacher shot at by Maoists succumbs to injuries

Hyderabad, Nov 23 (UNI) Mr Gattaiah, a teacher working in Devannapet village in Warangal district, who was shot at by the Maoists recently, succumbed to injuries here at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) late last night.

Hospital authorities said Mr Gattaiah, who was admitted in a very critical condition died here and the body would be handed over to his relatives after autopsy.

Police said Mr Gattaiah, who was considered a sympathiser of the Maoists was shot at by two armed Maoists near his house, after they suspected that he had become a police informer.
