Sugar prices decline on poor demand
Mumbai, Nov 23 (UNI) Sugar prices declined on poor demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association today siad.
Sugar in small grade and medium grades eased by Rs six and Rs five per quintal, respectively, on sustained heavy selling pressure.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades edged down by Rs 10 and Rs 12 per quintal, respectively, on increased offers by stockists.
Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,705/1,752, Medium grade: Rs 1,747/1,812, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,680/1,705, Medium grade: Rs 1,708/1,745.
