Subex Azure to help Middle East mobile operator
Bangalore, Nov 23: Subex Azure Ltd, the world's largest vendor of revenue maximisation solutions for telecom operators, today announced that it is to implement a revenue assurance (RA) and fraud management system for a leading mobile operator in the Middle East.
The company in a release here said that it was chosen after a competitive tender as it was able to offer both RA and fraud management, and due to its presence and understanding of the region through working with its local partner Mideast Data Systems (MDS).
The operator has 2.3 million customers and had previously managed RA and fraud in-house. However, with rapid growth and the delivery of new products and services, it wanted scalable and effective external systems to ensure it was maximizing its revenues.
The Subex Azure Revenue Assurance Solution (SARAS) is a complete RA solution, designed to tackle critical revenue-assurance challenges across the entire revenue chain. SARAS offered pre-configured solution templates that address RA issues across areas such as service fulfillment, usage integrity, retail billing, interconnect/wholesale billing and content settlement.
The Subex Azure Fraud Management Solution (SAFMS) is an advanced fraud management system, which enables operators to detect both known patterns and unusual fraud types in all environments - wireline (PSTN, ISP, VoIP), wireless (2G, 2.5G, 3G) across all services (postpaid, prepaid, VAS, MMS, m-commerce). SAFMS utilises rules-based alarms and artificial intelligence driven pattern matching to identify unusual behaviour. It was highly flexible, allowing operators to customise the configuration to suit their network and business requirements.
Commenting on the order Subex Azure founder Chairman and MD said ''this is a further endorsement of our revenue assurance and fraud management solutions. We are delighted to helping operators in the Middle East reduce potential revenue leakage and protect profits''.
