Patna, Nov 23 (UNI) In a counter move to the NDA government's release of its report card on completion of its one year in office in Bihar tomorrow, the RJD today released a 'black paper' which highlighted the failures of Nitish government.

Releasing the 'black paper' here, RJD national general secretary of RJD and former Bihar minister Shyam Rajak alleged that the Nitish government had failed miserably to check the rising crime graph in the state as 23,802 murders, 7,690 rapes, 7,747 kidnappings, 51,580 incidents of dacoities and loot took place during the last one year of its tenure. These crimes were testimony to the facts which proved the claims made in report card of NDA government as 'hollow and misleading'.

He said some of the incidents during the last one year such as-- killing of four dalits in presence of policemen, rape of dalit women in Lakhisarai-- were undoubtedly a blot on any civilised society.

Mr Rajak alleged that on one hand, the government had failed to check the unruly behaviour of ruling party MLAs having criminal antecedents while police mercilessly lathicharged unemployed youths who were peacefully demonstrating in support of their demand for jobs in Patna. Besides, police used lathis on hundreds of junior engineers during the last one year while they were taking out procession in support of their demands, he added.
