Re-developed Connaught Place Central Park to open by Dec-mid

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today inspected the re-developed Central Park at Connaught Place.

Inspecting the park, she gave some suggestions for improvement, including a little change in the amphi-theatre at the site while taking additional care to protect greenery.

Delhi Metro Rail Corp had re-developed the park after undertaking construction work of two underground routes for the last five years.

Ms Dikshit also discussed the issue of re-developing Connaught Place with New Delhi Municipal Council officials. She stressed the need of maintaining uniformity between the park and the rest of the area around.

It was hoped that the re-developed Central Park would open for public by mid-December.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by NDMC Chairperson Shidushree Khullar and senior DMRC officials.
