Rajan Tiwary denies involvement in Ajit Sarkar murder case

Patna, Nov 23 (UNI) A local court today recorded the statement of former MLA Rajan Tiwary, who is an accused in the murder case of CPI(M) MLA Ajit Sarkar.

In his statement, Tiwari denied the charges of killing Sarkar.

Mr Sarkar was shot dead at Purnea on June 14,1998.

Another accused in the case RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav is currently lodged in Tihar jail of Delhi by an order of Supreme Court. The court had already recorded the statement of Mr Yadav in the case.
