Villupuram, Nov 23 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder-leader Dr S Ramadoss today strongly criticised the Kerala Government for getting the Mullaiperiyar dam inspected by a naval team, without the knowledge of Tamil Nadu Government.

If the Kerala Government continues its indifferent attitude, the Tamil Nadu Government should avoid talks on the issue with Achutanandan goverment, he said addressing a press conference at his Thailapuram residence in this district here.

Mr Ramadoss pointed out that it was wrong on the part of the Kerala government to make such a move as the administration of the dam was under the control of Tamil Nadu.

The PMK leader's crticism comes in the wake of a similar charge by the DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

The PMK is a key ally of the DMK.

He said the Tamil Nadu government must seek the Centre's help for implementing the verdict delivered by the Supreme Court in February this year to raise the level of water in the dam to 142 ft from 136 ft at present.
