One woman die while undergoing tubectomy operation

Raisen, MP, Nov 23 (UNI) One woman has died while undergoing tubectomy surgery at a primary healthcare centre at Bareli, 100 km from district headquarters, police said.

The operation was being performed by Bhopal-based Dr B K Choubey.

The body of Motlajhir village-resident Sahib Bai has been sent for post-mortem and the family members of the deceased would be given Rs one lakh ex-gratia, health department sources said.

Police have not registered a case in this regard so far.
