One killed, 20 injured in train-bus collision

Chandigarh, Nov 23 (UNI) A girl was killed and 20 other students were injured, some of them seriously, when a college bus, carrying them, was hit by a Dhanbad Express train at unmanned level crossing near Goomtala under Noormahal Police Station in Jalandhar district this morning.

Police said the girl succumbed to her wounds on her way to the DMC hospital at Ludhiana where the seriously injured were admitted.

The remaining injured were taken to hospitals at Noormahal and Bilga. The train was going to Ferozepur from Dhanbad.
