Mandeep shines for Suarashtra with 119 n.o.

Anand, Nov 23 (UNI) Saurashtra began their second day with an overnight score of 258/5 and finished their innings at 365 on the second day of their three-day U-15 Polly Umrigar Trophy at the Shastri Ground here today.

Mandeep Jadeja who had retired hurt yesterday at 80 came in full form, scoring a valiant 119 not out.

Later, Gujarat batsmen scored 117 runs for two wickets at the close of the day in 63 overs. Opener Prashant Tandel was not out at 57 with 5 boundaries while Bhargav Marai was 34 not out with five boundaries.

Earlier the Saurashtra captain Avi Barot could not keep company with Jadeja for long and was out at 7 runs while Jansher too was out scoring 5 runs.

Saurashtra's Divesh Chavda gave away 30 runs in 15 overs that saw 6 maidens including wickets of Avi Barot and Jansher.

Tomorrow will be the final day of the contest.
