Latur, Solapur, Nanded to be airlinked: Praful Patel

Mumbai, Nov 23 (UNI) Air services to Solapur, Nanded and Latur will start shortly, assured Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel in New Delhi today.

An official statement issued here today said that the assurance was given to Maharashtra Tourism Minister Vijaysingh Mohite-Patil.

In this regard, the minister who has spoken to Captain G R Gopinath of Air Deccan, was assured that Air Deccan would be starting services to the three cities from Mumbai.

Solapur, is the home district of Mr Patil who is also the district Incharge. Incidentally, Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde also hails from the same district.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil hail from Latur district while Maharashtra Industries Minister Ashok Chavan is from Nanded.
