Villupuram, Tamil Nadu Nov 23 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) founder leader S Ramadoss today said Kerala Government should not place hurdles in raising the water level in the Mullaiperiyar dam from 136 ft to 142 ft as per the Supreme Court Order.

Talking to newspersons at his residence at Thailapuram in Villupuram district, he criticised the Kerala Government for ''its adamant attitude''. In this scenario it is impossible to expect them to solve the problem of inter-linking rivers, he said.

Dr Ramadoss said it was unfortunate that Karnataka was also seemed to be following the footsteps of Kerala on the issue of interlinking of rivers, he alleged.

He said experts were of the view that 4000 TMC water was let out into the sea and wasted. Even if ten per cent of that water was given to Tamil Nadu, the state's problem could have been addressed, he added.

He said all rivers should be nationalised to solve the problem once and for all.
