Jaishankar, Mathai envoys to S'pore, France
| New Delhi, Nov 23: Dr. S. Jaishankar and Mr Ranjan Mathai have been appointed envoys to Singapore and France respectively, an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said today.
Dr Jaishankar, currently Joint Secretary in External Affairs Ministry, will replace Mr Alok Prasad while Mr Ranjan Mathai, presently Deputy High Commissioner in London, will be the new Ambassador to France in place of Mr T C A Rangachari. Mr Rangachari is one of the seniormost Foreign Service officials who was superceded by Mr Shivshankar Menon when he was appointed the new Foreign Secretary. UNI |
