Insaf to agitate against death sentence to Saddam

Hyderabad, Nov 23 (UNI)'Insaf' State Council Vice President and Rajya Sabha Member Ajiz Pasha and General Secretary Nusrat Mohiuddin today called upon activists of the organisation to hold rallies and meetings in all district centres protesting against the award of death sentence to deposed Iraq President Saddam Hussain.

In a joint statement here, they claimed the trial was 'totally unilateral and biased and Mr Hussain's lawyers were not even given a copy of the judgement.' The leaders also demanded the Indian Government to condemn the death sentence and bring pressure on the international community to ensure the sentence was withdrawn.
