SINGAPORE, Nov 23 (Reuters) State-run Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) is planning a maintenance shutdown of three crude distillation units (CDU) at its 274,000 barrels per day Gujarat refinery during June-August, a source said on Thursday.

IOC plans to shut its CDU-1 and CDU-11, both with 40,000 barrels per day (bpd) capacity, in June and August. It will undertake maintenance at its 76,000 bpd CDU-V in July, with each shutdown lasting 25 days.

The refinery in western India, IOC's biggest, has five CDUs.

''Besides CDUs, some secondary units are also scheduled for maintenance turnaround,'' said the source familiar with the plant.

The company also has plans to shut down a fluidised catalytic cracker unit (FCC) of 30,000 bpd capacity in July and its 24,000 bpd hydrocracker in August. An FCC produces gasoline while a hydrocracker produces gas oil or diesel.
