HC restrains UPPSC from fixing interview date
Allahabad, Nov 23 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has restrained the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) from fixing the interview date for selecting veterinary medical officers under the animal husbandary department in pursuance of its advertisement of September 9, 2006.
A division bench comprising Justices A Lala and V C Mishra passed this order on a writ petition filed by Kapilesh Mohan Varshney of Mathura district.
By means of the impugned ad, the UPSC had advertised 351 posts of veterinary medical officers as reserved vacancy for SC/ST and OBC candidates under UP Veterinary Services (Class II).
The petitioner alleged by means of the impugned ad, the state government is going to fill up posts in question, which exceeds the permissible quota, besides violating a judgement of the Supreme Court.
