HC directs UP govt regarding pending arms licence cases

Allahabad, Nov 23 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh home secretary to personally look into the matter and call for report from all DMs and state licensing authorities under the Arms Act, regarding details of arms license cases matters before the court.

Justice Rakesh Sharma also directed the secretary to furnish status of cases, whether counter affidavits were filed in or not.

The court has directed the state government to issue necessary order to DMs to file counter affidavits in cases relating to the Arms Act pending before the court.
