Gulmarg sale put on hold

Srinagar, Nov 23 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today decided to put on hold a Cabinet decision by which sanction was accorded to lease out land at the world famous tourist resort of Gulmarg till the apprehensions regarding the order were cleared.

Addressing a news conference here, Tourism Minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir said the decision was put on hold till the apprehensions in the minds of people of the state, regarding the auction of the state land at Gulmarg to outsiders, were cleared.

He said the entire process has been put in abeyance.

Mr Mir said the issue would be referred to the state Cabinet once again for review.
