Fisherman gets trapped in fishing net, drowns

Puducherry, Nov 23 (UNI) A fisherman hailing from Vambakeerappalayam near here was drowned in Bay of Bengal here yesterday.

According to police, Mohan (45), had ventured into the sea in a small boat when the mishap occurred. He accidentally fell into a fishing net, which was spread to catch fish.

Other fishermen, who noticed the body in the net brought it ashore.
