Court remands record keeper in police custody

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) A local Court today remanded Dinesh Chand Sharma, the court record keeper dismissed for his alleged involvement in destruction of documents relating to Uphaar Tragedy Case, to five days police custody.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Dr Kamini Lau remanded Sharma in five days police custody for further investigation and interrogation. Sharma was arrested by the police yesterday and produced before the court as per order of the High Court pronounced in May 2006.

Sharma was arrested after the court committee formed on the complaint of Uphaar Tragedy victims, found him, prima facie guilty of destruction of documents in the year 2003.
