Court refuses bail to former DM

Patna, Nov 23 (UNI) The Special Vigilance judge (in-charge) of Patna, Munilal Paswan, today rejected a bail petition of former District Magistrate of Madhepura Hemchandra Jha in connection with a corruption case.

According to the charges, Mr Jha was arrested in Patna in connection with some alleged corruption charges and police recovered Rs 1,90,200 from his possession on October 13.

Mr Jha is presently lodged in Beur central jail since October 14 last.
