Bail granted to two aides of Hawara

Patiala, Nov 23 (UNI) A local court today granted bail to two close aides of Babbar Khalsa International terrorist Jagtar Singh Hawara, the main accused in the Beant Singh assassination case.

Baljit Singh alias Bhau and Jasbir Singh alias Jassa, who were arrested from different places in June 2005, were charged under sections 121-A, 124-A, 153-A, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 212, 216 of IPC and section 25 of Arms Act for carrying weapons without license.

It was alleged that Baljit Singh had been instrumental in getting Hawara married to a minor girl of Dhuri village, introducing Hawara as Sahib Singh, his NRI brother from California. It was also alleged that Baljit Singh arranged for a house for Hawara in Ahlowal road where the fugitive shifted on May 7 last year.
