320 bags of rice recovered

Hubli, Nov 23 (UNI) People of Singtalurkere hamlet in Gadag district of Karnataka caught 320 bags of rice, meant for beneficiaries of watershed development programme, being illegally transported and handed it over to the police.

Police said the villagers stopped the lorry in which the rice was being transported and handed it over to the police, last night.

Three people, including the lorry driver, have been arrested, police added.
