3 LeT militants killed, HM Cdr surrenders in Doda

Jammu, Nov 23 (UNI) Security forces today gunned down three Lashkar-e-Toiba (Let) militants in Kishwar Tehsil while a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) Commander surrendered with arms and ammunition in Banihal area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.

According to police, Mudassar Alias Abu Hamza, Mohammad Irfan alias Abu Sohail and Mohammad Ismail alias Abu Omair were gunned down in an encounter with police at nant nullah near hunzar dachan in kishtwar.

Arms including two AK rifles, four AK magazines, one hand grenade and other arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the slain militants.

Later in the evening, an HM Commander Mansoor Khan alias Billa surrendered before Rashtriya Rifles at Tanki area of Banihal Tehsil, an army spokesman told UNI.

The militant also handed over an AK rifle, three magazines, 90 rounds, one radio set, one binocular and a mobile to the army.
