3 convicted in Memco case

Ahmedabad, Nov 23 (UNI) Three persons were convicted while another was acquitted in the Memco case.

Special Pota court judge Soniaben Gokani today convicted Moulavi Ahmed Hussein, Rahim Khan Pathan, and Mohammed Khan Pathan. The former two were sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment while Mohammad Khan Pathan was sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment. Moulana Abdullah Mia Kadri was acquitted in the case.

A bomb was placed in a scooter and the vehicle was parked on the Memco crossroads near Naroda in the city on August 6, 2002. However there were no fatalities or injuries in the subsequent blast.
