Verdict in Navjot Sidhu case reserved
Chandigarh, Nov 22 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today reserved the verdict on the appeal filed by the Punjab government against BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu's acquittal in connection with the death of a man after fracas with the cricketer-turned-politician.
The division bench of Justices Mehtab Singh Gill and Baldev Singh today had reserved its verdict in appeal against District and Sessions judge, Patiala in a case registered against Sidhu on December 27,1998 at police station, Kotwali, Patiala.
The case was registered under section 302,324,34 IPC after a man, Gurnam Singh died following a scuffle with Sidhu at Patiala.
