Take steps to prevent councillor from grabbing dry tank

Puducherry, Nov 22 (UNI) A DMK functionary from Mannadipet has urged the territorial administration to take immediate steps to thwart the attempt of an Independent councillor to grab a dry tank on the government poromboke land at Chandaipudukuppam.

Mannadipet DMK constituency secretary S S Senthilkumar, in a memorandum to District Collector pointed out that the Independent councillor Dhandapani, was making efforts to usurp the dry tank and the public had pre-empt the move.

He sought the government intervention and also steps to desilt the tank, which would be beneficial to the farmers in the area.
