Suarashtra pile up 258 for five against Gujarat

Anand, Nov 22 (UNI) Saurashtra was comfortably placed with a strong score of 258 for the loss of five wickets against Gujarat on the first day of their three-day U-15 Polly Umrigar Trophy tie at the Shastri Ground here today.

Wonderful performances by middle-order batsmen Mandeep Jadeja, who made 80 runs with the help of eight boundaries, and Harsh Sangat, who scored 72 runs with nine hits to the rope, powered Saurashtra to the huge score after the side won the toss and opted to bat first.

Kishan Parmar (31), Sahil K (22) and Abhishek T (32) also contributed their mites.

For Gujarat, Abhishek claimed two wickets, while Jay, Prashant and Bhargav took one wicket each.
