SSI Min conducts numerous progs during Sep'06

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) In an effort to help the small and agro rural industries, the Ministry of Small Scale and Agro Rural Industries organised several programmes during September this year which enjoyed participation from 4,025 people.

The programmes included 40 entrepreneurship development events, 30 motivational campaigns and 15 management development programmes conducted by Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO) field institutions in different states, an official statement said here today.

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) conducted 29 intensive campaigns and three marketing promotion seminars at various places in the country.

The National Institute of Small Industries Extension Training (NISIET), Hyderabad, also conducted 50 training programmes for 1123 participants.

The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, conducted 21 training programmes for 990 participants.

Business Facilitation and Development Centre (BFDC) at IIE, Guwahati, provided counselling to 10 entrepreneurs on identification of opportunities and selection of projects.

Support services like helping in DIC registration, providing machinery suppliers addresses, training link-up, etc, were provided to 34 entrepreneurs.

The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida, conducted 10 training programmes for 236 participants.

Under ISO-9000/14001 Reimbursement Scheme, an amount of Rs 1.65 crore was reimbursed to 366 SSI units.
