SR officials levy penality on 110 farmers
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 22 (UNI) The Southern Railway authorities today penalised 110 farmers, including a few women hailing from Maharashtra, when they were found travelling in Guruvayoor Express without valid tickets, here today.
Railway sources said, during the routine check, a Railway ticket examining squad found the farmers of Nandiyat district in Maharashtra travelling without tickets from Chennai to Calicut in Kerala by the Guruvayoor Express.
Railway authorities collected Rs 45,200 as fine for ticketless travelling.
