Sonia to inaugurate ABRS Conference

Tirupati, Nov 22(UNI) UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi will inaugurate a three-day annual conference of Akhil Bharat Rachanatmak Samaj(ABRS) from November 25 in the temple town.

Talking to UNI here today, Rashtriya Seva Samithi (RASS), General Secretary Muniratnam said Ms Gandhi will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of RASS, established in 1981 and extended its activities to 3,500 villages in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Karnataka and New Delhi.

The Conference, organised by Association of People Asia(APA) is likely to be attended by about 20,000 delegates across the country, including a large number from Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Muniratnam said the APA is also organising a South Asia meet and the Conference is expected to be attended by Pakistan and Bangladesh, among others.

People-to-people contacts between South Asian countries and Indo-Pak peace process would be discussed in the Conference, he added.
