Ravi meets Mauritius President
New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) Overseas Indian Affairs (OIA) Minister Vayalar Ravi today held a meeting with Mauritius President Aneerood Jagnauth and discussed matters of mutual interests.
He also called on Vice-President Abdool Raouf Bundhun and discussed bilateral issues, while reiterating India's interest in reinforcing the close relations between the two countries.
Mr Raui paid floral tributes at the 'samadhi' of Father of Mauritius Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam at Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens.
He later held an interactive session with leaders of the Indian community at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture and recalled India's links with Maurtius.
He also inaugurated the first ever international Diaspora Language and pre-Pravasi BharatiyaDiwas conference, organised by the Global Orgaisation of Persons of Indian Origin.
