Rains forecast in Kerala, Lakshadweep, Punjab

Pune, Nov 22 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at many places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Punjab, and at a few places in Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana, north Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Night temperatures were below normal in Himachal Pradesh. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and south Telangana.

They were above normal in West Bengal, Sikkim, north Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, north Chattisgarh, Rayalseema and coastal Karnataka and in some parts of interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Jammu and Kashmir from where data was sparse.

The Northeast Monsoon has been active in Kerala. Heavy rains have occured at many places in Kerala and at a few places in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at most places in Lakshadweep and at a few places in Haryana and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan and Goa.
