NMPT official caught red handed while accepting bribe

Bangalore, Nov 22 (UNI) A New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) official was caught red handed by the Central Bureau of Investigation's Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths while accepting a bribe for showing official favour, today.

According to a release here, NMPT Deputy Traffic Manager (Oil Terminal) B R Sadashiva was caught red handed while accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe for allowing M/s Yojaka Marine Pvt Limited to operate smoothly without any problem in the NMPT.

Sadashiva was arrested under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and would be produced before the XXXII Additional City Civil Sessions and Special Judge for CBI cases tomorrow.
