NE monsoon active over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 22 (UNI) North East Monsoon was vigorous over Kerala and rains and thundershowers occurred at most places in Lakshwadeep.

Alwaye recorded the highest rainfall of 15 cm, followed by Perumbavur --12 cm, the Local Met office here said.

CIL Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram recorded eight cm rain each.

Kodungalur got five cm and Amenidweep three cm.

The office also warned of rains or thunder showers in Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 24 hrs.
