Mohta, D'Souza set up title clash in Mah Selection tournament

Mumbai, Nov 22 (UNI) Nagpur's Shravan Mohta and Mumbai's Rovin D'Souza fashioned contrasting wins to set up a mouth-watering sub- junior snooker title clash in the Malabar Hill Club-Maharashtra State Selection Billiards&Snooker tournament at the Malabar Hill Club today.

While Mohta crushed Khar Gymkhana lad Reza Merchant 3-0, D'Souza rallied from the loss of the opening game to beat formidable Aditya Agrawal 3-1 in the best-of-five frames semi-finals.

Islam Gymkhana's Hasan Badami created the biggest upset of the day when he shocked fancied Merchant 2-0 in the junior snooker first round, while top seed Karan Anand booked his place in the quarter finals.

Merchant endured an ominous day after crashing in the junior billiards second round, where Rishabh Pandya and Kunal Gandhi advanced to the quarter-finals.
