Laboratory test of blood samples to trace accused
Patna, Nov 22 (UNI) A special CBI court today directed the civil surgeon of Patna to collect blood sample of three incarcerated accused in a case related to theft of antiques from Patna Museum on September 24.
Through a petition, CBI prayed before Special CBI judicial magistrate B.K.Tiwari to direct the civil surgeon to collect blood samples of three accused in the case for its examination and comparison with the samples collected from the blood spots found at the place of occurence during the investigation.
The examination of the blood samples would be conducted at the Government laboratary at Kolkata.
The court accepted the prayer of CBI and directed the civil surgeon to collect blood samples and send it to the laboratory at Kolkata.
Almost 20 antique items were stolen from Patna Museum on Septemper 24, 2006. Investigating the case, CBI had already recovered 17 antiques and arrested three people in this connection.
Blood spots were found at the place of occurence during the investigation.
