Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy says government will not interefere
Bangalore, Nov 22 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said the government will not interfere in the Justice U L Bhat Commission of inquiry's decision to seek Central Bureau of Investigation assistance to probe the corruption charges involving the Chief Minister in the mines issue.
Reacting on the Commission's decision, he told UNI here that the government had ordered a judicial probe into the allegations made by suspended Bharatiya Janata Party member of the Karnataka Legislative Council Janaradhana Reddy a few months ago and had given terms of reference. It was for the commission to act within these parametres. The commission had sought the CBI's help in this regard suo motto and ''I have nothing to say'', he remarked.
On Chamundeswari Assembly by-election to be held on December 4, he exuded confidence about ensuring victory for his party nominee Shivabasappa against former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
