JKHC asks cricket body to nominate people for fund release
Srinagar, Nov 21 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has modified its October 4 order and authorised the working committee of the cricket association to nominate people who would communicate with the Principal District Judge, Srinagar, for release of the funds.
Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) President Farooq Abdullah had sought a review of the High Court's order of October 4 on the consensus of the parties concerned.
The high court judge, Justice J P Singh, disposed off the review petition and authorised and empowered the JKCA working committee to take decision to nominate such people who would communicate its decisions and requisitions to the Principal District Judge, Srinagar, for release of the funds to meet the expenses required for running the affairs and discharging the functions of the association.
On October 4, the high court had ordered transfer of all appeals pertaining to the affairs and disputes concerning the JKCA from the court of Second Additional District Judge, Srinagar, to the Principal District Judge, Srinagar.
It had also directed that the withdrawal of funds from the JKCA's bank accounts would be done by the Principal District Judge, Srinagar, till final disposal of the appeals.
