EC serves show cause notice to Karnataka Minister

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has served a show cause notice to Karnataka Minister Balachandra Jarki Hulli for violation of model code of conduct and asked him to reply immediately.

According to EC sources, the Minister, while addressing the election rally promised to revive the State Backward class commission by April next year and that attracted the violation of model code of conduct.

The sources said they have already received a reply from the Minister on this issue and would take a decision very soon, the sources added.
