Constable nabbed for killing wife

Yamuna Nagar, Nov 22 (UNI) Police have nabbed a constable Jitender Kumar on charges of killing his wife Suresh Kumari, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances last night.

Police said the deceased woman's brother, Hardeep, had complained that Jitender killed Suresh to get rid of her as he was having illicit relations with a lady constable.

The five-year-old son, Safal, corraborated the charges saying that Jitendra, along with his lady friend and another man, first beat and then killed Suresh after wrapping her in a blanket last night.

The police has registered a case under sections 302/34/120B against the accused.

The body had been sent for post mortem and Jitender was being interrogated, police said.
