Cong trying to topple K'taka coalition govt: Yediyurappa
Bangalore, Nov 22: Opposition Congress party was trying to topple the Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government right from the day one but its evil-designs will not work, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader B S Yediyurappa said today.
"Right from the beginning the Congress party has been trying pull down the JDS-BJP government in Karnataka by making false allegations. They will not succeed in their mission and the Karnataka Development Front (KDF) government will complete its full term", he said.
Speaking at the "Meet the Press' programme organised by the Bangalore Press Club here, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed confidence that he would assume charge as the next Chief Minister after the present Chief Minister, Mr H D Kumaraswamy, completed of 20 months in power as per agreement reached by JDS and the BJP before formation of the government on February 3, 2006.
