CM to launch various schemes worth Rs 500 crores tomorrow
Patna, Nov 22 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will launch various schemes worth more than Rs 500 crores related to electricity, road construction and drinking water facilities in Sheikhpura and Lakhisarai districts tomorrow.
Official sources said Mr Kumar will launch various schemes of Rs 223 crores in Sheikhpura and Lakhisarai district.He would lay the foundation stones of eight different power sub stations worth Rs 29 crores at a function organised at a local school in Sheikhpura.
The CM would launch rural electrification programme for 175 villages in Lakhisarai district which would incur an expenditure of Rs 19 crores.
A fund of Rs 23.96 crores had been sanctioned under Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification schemes for uninterrupted power supply to 288 villages in Shiekhpura district.
Besides these schemes, he would also lay the foundation stones of 14 schemes of road construction department and 11 schemes of rural engineering organisation department related to drinking water facilities in different villages.
The Chief Minister is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a hospital with 100 bed capacity in Lakhisarai which would incur an expenditure of Rs 8.16 crores.
