Central School's Assistant Commissioner caught taking bribe

Jabalpur, Nov 22 (UNI) The CBI today caught the Central School Organisation Assistant Commissioner red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.

CBI sources said a Central Warehouse representative had lodged a complaint with the CBI that CSO Assistant Commissioner (Jabalpur) R S Ram was demanding Rs 32,000 bribe for clearing a payment of Rs 80,000 towards stationery, computer and other items.

He had demanded Rs 5,000 as advance money and the rest of amount after the clearance of bill.

The complainant reached the Assistant Commissioner's residence last night and gave him the advance money. R S Ram was arrested by the CBI red-handed while accepting the bribe.

The CBI had then raided the office of the Assistant Commissioner and recovered files containing bills besides insurance policies from his house.
