BJP shelves State Parliamentary board meeting
Dehradun, Nov 22 (UNI) Overwhelmed by the unexpected response of public to Bharatiya Janata Party's ''Satta Parivartan Yatra'' in Uttaranchal, the state BJP unit has stop the Party Parliamentary Board Meeting for the time being.
''Looking into the enthusiasm of public and high spirit of party workers towards the rally that started on November 9 from Hardwar, the party has decided to delay the state parliamentary Board meeting which was to be held for ticket probables and concentrate more on the second phase of the rally that is scheduled to take off from Jaspur on December 13,'' said BJP State General Secretary Naresh Bansal here today.
He told mediapersons that by seeing the public response it could be easily concluded that the days of Congress Government was over.
'' The wind is on BJP's side,'' Mr Bansal condemned the Congress Government allegedly for trying to misguide the masses by advertising its achievements.
He said the second phase of the yatra would be flagged off by BJP leader Kalyan Singh from Jaspur on December 13 and would end at Haldwani on December 25.
The first phase of the Yatra would conclude tomorrow at Kotdwar where BJP Supremo Rajnath Singh and State-in-charge Ravishankar Prasad would address the public meeting, he added.
