Army vehicles damaged in IED blast

Guwahati, Nov 22 (UNI) Two Army vehicles were partially damaged in an IED blast, triggered by suspected ULFA activists, five km inside Meghalaya in Garo Hills bordering western Asom district of Goalpara today.

Defence sources informed here that the blast occurred at about 0800 hours.

ULFA militants were suspected to have triggered the blast.

The IED was planted at the spot targeting the Army vehicles.

The vehicles sustained partial damage, though no casualty was reported, the sources added.
